The micro-grant competition to support local initiatives to engage the public in effective heritage management lasted from March 17 to April 17, 2020 and was aimed at specific CSOs whose representatives participated in the Heritage Interpretation Workshop for Ukrainian CSOs (December 12-15, 2019, Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk region) and prepared heritage interpretation plans for specific communities with public participation.

Under this name, a new initiative of the Agency for Private Initiative Development (ARPI) was launched on March 24, 2020, implemented with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Program.

A micro-grant competition to support local initiatives to engage the public in effective heritage management was announced on March 17, 2020 by the project team "Heritage for Development: Increasing Public Participation in the Preservation and Use of the Heritage Potential of Local Communities"

On February 5, 2020, the first meeting of the working group to develop the Law on Improving Cultural Heritage Management by Local Communities with the Involvement of the Public and CSOs and Recommendations for State Policy in this Area was held in Kyiv.
