Oleksandr Kramar’s article “A New Economic Map of Ukraine,” which characterizes the dynamics of the development of Ukraine’s economy, was recently published on the Ukrrudprom web resource.

 

The article begins with disappointing data: “The economy of Ukraine today is in a much worse state than it was on the eve of the global economic crisis of 2008-2009. Gross domestic product in 2015 was only 80% of the pre-crisis 2007 figure, industrial production decreased by a third, and exports, measured in euros, in the first quarter of 2016 were only 76% of the figure in the first quarter of 2008.”

The city of Dolyna is one of the most active cities in the Carpathian region in terms of implementing electronic services for the population. Svitlana Sapetna, the head of the Dolyna City Executive Committee, introduced us to how administrative services are being optimized in the city and a community register is being created. P. Svitlana is a participant in a study tour of e-government practices to Estonia and Sweden in 2013, which was organized within the framework of the project “Development of e-government in the Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine” by the Agency for the Development of Private Initiatives.

On May 11-12, 2016, the annual presentation of the EBRD Civil Society Program was held at the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London - the flagship event of the Bank's interaction with civil society in Eurasia. Traditionally, this meeting was held in parallel with the annual meeting of the EBRD Board of Governors and the business forum.
