The community of the city of Dolyna has initiated activities to create a safe space in its central part. This involves the creation of a video surveillance system.

A separate fiber-optic line is currently being laid, through which the signal from the cameras will be transmitted to a single dispatch center. The center itself should be located in the administration building, and operators will work there 24 hours a day, who will promptly respond to noticed cases of offenses or vandalism and inform law enforcement agencies for prompt response.

In total, the perimeter of the "new" part of the city will be monitored by 30 cameras with night vision function. The cameras will cover all entrances/exits to the city towards state roads (Obliska, Khmelnytskyi, Mickevych), as well as all key intersections and crowded public places.

Thus, the prerequisites will be created for better prevention, response and disclosure of any cases of illegal actions in the city.

Next year, the video surveillance system is planned to be completed, equipping the "old" part of the city, the park, squares, as well as all, without exception, intersections of highways and entrances to large residential areas with surveillance. And the first stage of the system, which is currently being implemented, should be operational by mid-August.

A Facebook survey of Dolyna residents is also currently underway to identify the most problematic streets that require monitoring through systematic video surveillance.
