Representatives of E-governance Academy in Estonia will do another visit to Ivano-Frankivsk during September 17-19, 2013.

 Visit of experts from Academy is organized within the project "Support to the development of e-governance in Ivano-Frankivsk region", which is implemented by E-Governance Academy in Estonia together with Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Investment and Development, NGO "Agency for Private Initiative Development".

By this time, project experts developed the concept of e-governance support in Ivano-Frankivsk region as well as descriptions of technical objectives for such technology projects:

  • electronic system of document flow for Ivano-Frankivsk, Kalush and other cities in the region;
  • geographic information system for Kalush, Dolyna and Ivano-Frankivsk;
  • call-center for Kalush and Dolyna.

Visit includes separate meetings with officials of local government in pilot cities of the region where the project is implemented (Ivano-Frankivsk, Kalush, Dolyna). Technical issues for implementation of selected instruments of E-governance in municipalities’ work will be examined during the meetings.

Moreover, joint meeting of officials from Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, Kalush and Dolyna City Councils who are responsible for implementation of the project with experts from E-Governance Academy in Estonia will be held on September 19 in Ivano-Frankivsk. Best practices of the project as well as next steps towards implementation of developed technological projects in the region and pilot cities will be discussed during the meeting.

The project "Support to the development of e-governance in Ivano-Frankivsk region" began in September 2012 (total duration of the project - 18 months). This project involves development of Ivano-Frankivsk region’s potential in implementation of information and communication technologies to improve the work of executive bodies and local governments as well as creation of example for central government authorities. Later on, best practices of e-governance will be spread in other regions of Ukraine.
