As reported by the official website of the Voice of America, the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, after a thorough and rigorous selection, became the winner of the competition for high-quality laboratory equipment for molecular biological research.

 

The participants of the competition had to demonstrate the value of their scientific research, the need for equipment and the potential impact of their activities. In addition, factors such as the stability of the educational institution and the country as a whole, educational and scientific achievements and the strength of the infrastructure were evaluated.

 

PNU became one of 15 winners of the Instrumental Access program from the non-profit organization Seeding Labs, located in Boston, Massachusetts. Ukraine became the only European country to be included in the list, and was represented for the first time!

 

The rector of Precarpathian University Ihor Tsependa shared the university’s achievement on his Facebook page:

 

“Among the 15 Seeding Labs Winners is Precarpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk, Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (Head of the Department, Professor Volodymyr Lushchak). The idea and the main work on the winning project belongs to the employee of the department Ulyana Dzhamana. According to the results of the competition, the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of our university will receive Congratulations to our scientists and I wish you success in the implementation of the projects!!!"
