Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Investment and Development joined to the project "Promotion of investment opportunities and cooperation between small and medium enterprises through the development of cross-border relations in the Carpathian region", which is implemented by the Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk region in partnership with the Center for Development of Small and Medium Business of Maramures County (Romania) and Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration within the ENPI CBC Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013.

Aim of the project is strengthening of social and economic development of Ivano-Frankivsk region (both from Ukrainian and Romanian side). This goal is planned to be achieved through cooperation between small and medium size enterprises as well as through the creation of favorable investment climate within the border region of Ukraine and Romania to improve its image through cross-border cooperation.

Expert group was created within the project, including representative of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Investment and Development. Thus, the second meeting of the expert group was held in Ivano-Frankivsk on June 27, 2014. During the meeting, members of the expert group got acquainted with an analytical study of investment environment in Ivano-Frankivsk region as well as with the results of survey of small and medium size enterprises’ managers on identifying opportunities, risks and barriers in investment activities in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Members of the expert group have also processed the results of SWOT-analysis of investment attractiveness of Ivano-Frankivsk region, examined the rating of investment attractiveness of Ukraine`s regions in which Ivano-Frankivsk region took second place as well as successful experience in implementing of investment projects (best practices). As a result, it is planned to issue a trilingual promotional brochure about the investment attractiveness of the region as well as trilingual guide of the best practices in investment attraction.
