According to Main Statistical Department amount of FDI (stock capital) invested by foreign investors in Ivano-Frankivsk region during January-June, 2013 amounted to 38,5 mln. USD.

The amount FDI (stock capital) invested from the beginning of investment period as of July 1, 2013 amounted to 672.5 mln. USD, amount of FDI per capita amounted to 487.9 USD. Amount of investments increased by 4.6% in comparison with the beginning of 2013.

Investors were nonresidents from 53 countries. Five major investor countries, share of which is 79.9% of total foreign direct investments are: the Netherlands, Cyprus, Denmark, Serbia and Poland.

Over  514.7 mln. USD was invested in industrial development, most of all in enterprises of processing industry - 501.1 mln. USD. Share of investments, invested in enterprises of agriculture, forestry and fish industry amounted to 14.2%, construction activity - 3.5%, wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles - 2.5%.

The largest volume of foreign investment is focused on enterprises in Kalush (275.8 mln. USD, or 41% of total investments’ amount) and Ivano-Frankivsk (221.8 mln. USD or 33%). Regional districts with the largest share of attracted nonresidents’ capital are Tysmenytsia (6.2%), Kalush (5.3%) and Rogatyn (4%).

Kalush takes first place among cities and districts in the region by amount of FDI. Foreign investors from 16 countries invested 275.8 mln. USD in the economy of Kalush city. Leaders among investors remain nonresidents from the Netherlands and Serbia. These countries have 91% of foreign capital in the economy of the city. Almost all of the capital (99.1%) was invested in enterprises of processing industry.

The amount of FDI (stock capital) invested into economy of regional center from the beginning of investment period as of July 1, 2013 amounted to 221.8 mln. USD, amount of FDI per capita reached - 924.6 USD (regional amount - 487.9 USD). Amount of investments in comparison with the beginning of 2013 increased by 17.4%. Big share of investments into companies among 46 countries belongs to EU countries amounting to 87.6% of total investment amount. Among them are nonresidents from Cyprus and British Virgin Islands. Industrial enterprises of special interest for foreign investors remain enterprises located in Ivano-Frankivsk with 173.2 mln. USD FDI, construction activity - 17,5 mln. USD, wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles - 12.9 mln. USD. Enterprises of regional center took 2^nd place among other cities and districts in the region by the amount of foreign capital.
