Ivano-Frankivsk region ranked 13th among 27 regions of Ukraine in terms of foreign direct investments volume (hereinafter - FDI) and 12 place by FDI per capita in 2013.
Dynamics
Foreign capital invested into the region has increased in 66 times over the past 20 years (beginning of 1995 - end of 2013). Accordingly, volume of FDI per capita increased from 25.8 USD at the beginning of 1995 to 590 USD at the end of 2013.
At the same time, positive increasing dynamics in FDI volume is typical for the whole time period, except for 2011, when there was a decrease in FDI volume by 92.5 million USD.
Annual revenues kept increasing tendency until 2009, where they reached a peak and now we can see a "zigzag" tendency of downturn and growth.
Branches
In 2013, as in previous periods dominated "industrial" investments. Thus, FDI in processing industry took ¾ of all foreign capital.
Countries
Investments into Ivano-Frankivsk region’s economy were carried out by foreign investors from 55 countries, of which the vast majority is European countries.
Key investor-countries of the region, except from Cyprus, whose share of investments was the biggest in 2013, were the Netherlands, Denmark, Serbia and Poland.
Enterprises
Over 450 enterprises in Ivano-Frankivsk region received foreign capital which was mainly invested in the form of monetary contributions.
