On October 21st, 2015 the first rating agency in Ukraine "Credit Rating" announced the assessment of a long-term rating of investment attractiveness for Ivano-Frankivsk pursuant to the National rating scale of investment attractiveness at uaINV4. The specified level in rating means that the city is characterized by a high level of attractiveness for investment. The sensitivity of investment to the investment risks is at low level.  

 

On this occasion, the Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council held a press conference, which was attended by Marina Protsenko, Director General of the Agency "Credit Rating", and Olga Shubina, the Deputy Director General of the Agency "Credit Rating". The mayor was presented with a Rating Certificate.

To assign the rating, experts from rating agency analyzed the environment for the investors’ activity, such as investment potential and investment risk. The main factors that determine the investment attractiveness of the city were assessed.

At the press conference there was also presented a city investment passport developed jointly by the rating agency and city authorities in order to be presented further to the potential domestic and foreign investors, considering investing in economic and social sectors in the city. The passport contains details about socio-economic development, the main activities of the city government, especially the regulations concerning investment and economic activity, land and municipal property issues, provides the lists of investment projects and free production space available in the city. 

According to Marina Protsenko, the Credit-Rating General Director, "Ivano-Frankivsk is one of the most dynamic cities in the region. The city is constantly working on maintaining investment-attractive image, as evidenced by the recent growth of foreign direct investment. The investment passport is one of the factors of investment openness and transparency of the city’s authorities; it will help to intensify cooperation with investors, as it is a tool to present the city objectively to the potential investors".

The city of Ivano-Frankivsk is a city of regional significance, an important industrial, tourist and transport center of Western Ukraine. The city is one of the four Ukrainian cities that are awarded by European Diploma, the Flag and Badge of Honor of the Council of Europe. Since 2015 the city is one of five contenders for the highest award PACE - European prize.

Since 2012 in the city confirmed the introduction of a quality management system in the city council executive committee in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 9001: 2009.

Credit-Rating cooperates with Ivano-Frankivsk since 2005, when it was assigned by its first credit rating. Within ten years, the rating agency maintains the city’s credit ratings of investment attractiveness within the category uaBBB of National Credit Rating Scale.

Credit-Rating is the first specialized rating agency in Ukraine (active since 2001) which provides services in the field of independent evaluation of the ranking of the rating by the National Rating Scale. From the beginning the rating agency assigned over 1,200 ratings. In addition to corporate clients and financial sector, the agency worked with 30 cities of Ukraine.
