Project launch announcement

 

The project “Revealing the potential of heritage for the economic development of small communities” has been launched and is implemented by the NGO “Agency for Private Initiative Development” with the support of the USAID HOVERLA Project . The project “Revealing the potential of heritage for the economic development of small communities” aims to increase the economic sustainability of target communities by rapidly assessing the economic potential of their heritage, developing the capacity of local authorities to assess, manage and use existing heritage, and developing effective local development programs aimed at using the potential of local heritage. The project’s objective is to provide selected partner communities of the “HOVERLA” Project with effective local economic development tools and increase their capacity to manage and use their cultural and natural heritage for local development purposes.

The Agency for Private Initiative Development (ARPI) and the Network of Ukrainian CSOs for Support of Communities with Heritage GoHeritage! announce a competition for youth initiatives to protect and preserve local heritage within the framework of a project implemented with co-financing from the NED Democracy Endowment Fund (USA).

On September 28-29, an event took place in Ivano-Frankivsk region, bringing together over fifty civil society leaders, students, teachers, and creative individuals from ten regions of Ukraine, united by the idea of ​​building the potential of Ukrainian communities based on the resources of Ukrainian cultural heritage.

The Agency for Private Initiative Development has completed an evaluation of youth initiatives that provide specific measures to save and preserve cultural heritage that is suffering from war or is neglected by society.
