The project lead partner was the Charity Organization ‘Ukrainian Coalition for Legal Aid’. The Agency was responsible for the part of the action in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The project was implemented in 10 regions of Ukraine, including Ivano-Frankivsk region. The project was carried out to inform internally displaced persons in the media about their legal rights, instruments of legal protection and available legal services.
The main target groups of the project were internally displaced persons (IDPs) who were forced to leave the occupied territories and the war zone, and civic activists, who deal with problems of internal migrants or who themselves suffered from persecution because of their social or professional activities in the occupied territories. The project lawyers provided the professional consultations, primary and secondary legal assistance. In particular, this included the preparation of the required procedural documents and representation of the people’s interests in courts.
Project outputs and results:
- Over 1000 consultations in Ukraine were rendered, including over 300 – in Ivano-Frankivsk region;
- The ‘ABC for Entrepreneurs. Guide for Internally Displaced Persons’ was prepared based on the most frequent requests from IDPs engaged in business or willing to start business. The guide in short and accessible format provides various practical information for IDPs, including the business registration issues, taxation, labour relations, inspections, civil contracts, and business termination;
- 18 professional articles on the topic of internally displaced persons prepared and provided through web resources and local media of Ukraine (over 100 publications).
