The project partners were the Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankovsk City Council (Ukraine) and Municipality of Lublin (Poland).

The main project objective was to stimulate proactive youth, education institutions and business entities from Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine and Lublin Voivodeship of Poland to initiate and implement youth innovations and build cross-border cooperation in energy saving sector.

Project outputs and results: The Youth Cross-Border Cooperation Network for Environment Safety and Energy Efficiency was established (the specialised web-portal developed, the concept of students and young scientists exchange between universities of Lublin and Ivano-Frankivsk elaborated; a Memorandum to support the network of project partner organizations and German-Polish Foundation ‘New Energy’ prepared and signed). 

The capacity of more than 100 proactive youth leaders build for further activity on implementation of energy saving initiatives in the project target regions. In particular, 10-days RADAR school of leadership, fundraising and management held in Lublin (50 participants), seminars on energy saving and renewable energy sources conducted (50 participants); study tours for entrepreneurs, young scientists and student youth held to Lublin and Ivano-Frankivsk in order to familiarize the participants with the energy saving practices and energy efficiency projects (40 participants). 

The project provided mechanism of promotion of youth initiatives by implementing events on youth employment in energy saving sector (International Forum of Youth Initiatives (120 participants from both countries), informational bulletins, multilingual publication ‘Guidance manual on Energy Efficiency’, 2 TV programmes and 4 radio programmes promoting various practices amongst the general public in the target regions; meetings of employers and representatives of Universities from both regions with the school and student youth in Lublin and Ivano-Frankivsk (100 participants).
