The programme was aimed at review and harmonization of regulatory acts of the executive authorities and local self-governments with the requirements set by Law of Ukraine ‘On grounds of state regulatory policy in business sector’. The Agency was the programme regional partner in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Project outputs and results: Setting up of 2 working groups to review regulations of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council and Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administration; organization of 10 working groups’ meetings. Development of lists of regulations subject to revision or withdrawal; preparation of regulatory impact analysis; organization of public discussions of draft regulations; the organization of two regional conferences on project results and deregulation practices. As a result, 130 local regulations have been cancelled or modified as such that contained inappropriate or unclear procedures for business; the changes to more than 20 national legislation acts have been initiated.
